"I got Krystle's message about
2 in the morning to say that she was with Joe, and they were going
to Eat 'N Park for something to eat and then coming home," Robin
said. "They were so close to home (when the accident occurred)."
State police report Joseph Gall was driving on Saxonburg Boulevard
about 3:11 a.m. when his car collided with a car driven by James R.
Harbison, 18, of Wexford at the crest of a small hill known for accidents.
Butler County Coroner William Young III said Joseph Gall was killed
instantly from severe injuries to his chest.
Krystle was taken by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh;
where she died a short time later.
"Krystle tried to fight. She was my fighter," Robin said.Harbison
was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, where he
was treated and released.
Chief Tom Sweesy of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Department said none
of the three was wearing seatbelts. Harbison's car, however, had airbags
that probably saved his life, he said. Sweesy also said firefighters
had to cut Joseph Gall from the car. "It was a really violent
accident," Sweesy said. "But the cars were pretty much in
their own lanes, so I don't know what happened exactly." |

While the state police investigation is continuing, Robin said what
she has been told is that both drivers were very close to the center
line of the road and that both vehicles crested a small hill at
the same time.
"There were no skid marks and they hit pretty much head-on,"
she said.
With today being the anniversary of the death of
Robin and Joseph Gall Sr.'s first child, who died from crib death,
Robin seems to be in a state of shock. "At least I had more
time with these two," she said.
Joseph was being home schooled and was working
on his degree from the American School, which provides textbooks
and testing materials to home-schooling families.
He started working at Summit Academy in January
as a food server and also helped supervise academy students Robin
said his main hobby , his car and the car's sound system, Krystle
would have been a junior this fall at Knoch High School. ~ was a
majorette with 10 years twirling experience.
She also worked three jobs - Frankferd Farms, a butcher shop and
during deer season at Miruit's Meats in Cabot.
"Krystle was busy. She really loved life," Robin said.
On Thursday Robin and Joseph Sr. will bury their two children. They
have no other children.
"Joe and Krystle had so much fun together. People always say
that they couldn't believe they we brother and sister," Robin
said just never thought they'd die togther."
"Our (wedding) anniversary tomorrow (Tuesday), but now I just
don't know what we do, what to live for," Robin said. "Do
we start over? I can handle having them," she said. "It's
the 1osing them that hurts so much."
