Welcome to my webpage. We are located in Western Pennsylvania on a 60+ acre farm. We primarily raise Nubian and Toggenburg Dairy Goats and White Tail Deer. Thanks to the deer, we have beautiful ten foot woven wire fence around close to 15 acres of land. All of the kids are raised on heat treated colostrum and pasturized milk. They have free choice minerals and soda, with the occasional treat of kelp.

I would like to give out a special thank you to Laura Hennen and Cathy McKenzie who have taken me under their wing and put up with me and all my questions. Laura has recently been teaching me to AI and her animals are a great influence in my herd.

One cannot forget their parents, who keep the bottomless feedbin full, and are willing to drive to TN & Maryland to pick up goats, or who milks for me in the morning :).

Meri is the newest ‘self proclaimed’ herd queen. This has been her year, she consistently has given 9-12 pounds of milk per day, and has excelled in the show ring. Meri easily received her permanent championship status this year going BDIS, BOB, GCH, and RGCH numerous times. At the nationals this year, Meri was the only doe that I was so nervous to show that I was shaking like a leaf! At the only fair that I exhibited at, Meri went GCH and BDIS!

Pipi is the socialite… but she still only has her favorites, and if your not one, then watch out! Amazingly, there are now two people that she will let show her, so she is finally broadening her horizons. My friend, Emily Macom, has claimed Pipi as HER doe, and uses her for showmanship. Pipi is probably the most correct, balanced doe that I own. She has all of her dam, Meri’s, strengths, but she has a higher attached rear udder with more correctly placed teats.

Moonshine is the tallest and sharpest of the Nubians. She started out her 2yr old show year very strongly, until picking up pinkeye at one of the shows. She went from milking eight pounds of milk a day to three pounds a day, and never came back up on her milk. I have yet to get a doe from Moons, so this year the ‘lamancha’ threats will come out… see if that works!

Velvet.... oh what I can say about my Velvet! My favorite for one... everyone elses’ favorite for two. Her rear udder is just unbelievable. During appraisals, the comment was made that “if her rear udder was any higher... she would be peeing out of it!” She scored a 48 in rear udder height. She also has the longest ears, dairyest neck, longest body, widest rump... I could just keep going and going. I LOVE this doe!!!

Jerzi is one of my personal favorites. Her udder is almost perfect, very high and wide in the rear, strongly extended in the fore, nice teat shape and placement; she just needs another freshening to get the capacity to throw her over the top! Her body is also very correct, she is a little on the pudgy side still… but that will pass. She was the last doe to make the cut at the nationals, with the judges saying ‘she is just too nice not to place’.

Curry is a very beautiful doe. She is very strong in general apperance, being sharp in the withers, level over the topline, standing on strong feet and legs, and has a beautiful nubian head and ears. Unfortunately, she suffered a severe case of mastitis before I bought her that was never treated. Consequently, her udder is destroyed for showing.

Envy is my problem child. It seems as though anything bad that can happen, happens to her. So far, she has foundered, gotten caught in a fence hurting her leg, had a 14 lb buck kid that pinched a few nerves (but she had him herself!), bruised her front feet, resulting in nothing but blood clots for a few trimmings, and mastitis as a 1st freshener. Even though (and maybe because), Envy is still one of my favorites.

Kitty is permanently injured from her bout with the meningeal worm in 2004. Unfortunately, I will never be able to show her again.
